I love magazines. I like the iPad and all, but there's nothing like getting a real magazine in my mailbox each month.
I love to design for them, I love to read them, and I love to receive and give them as gifts. If you still haven't gotten a present for someone yet, they make the best super-last-minute gift. It's a gift that lasts for a whole year, and everyone loves to get something in the mail each month.
First, buy a gift subscription online. I've given you all the links and prices below to some of my favorite magazines to read and give (or that I secretly wish someone would give me a subscription to). If you want to go the extra mile, buy an actual single issue of that magazine at a newsstand (hey, if you are really lazy and last minute, you can even pick one up at the airport before you head home for the holidays). And then, to make it look a little more presentable and like you put some thought into it, I'm giving you a free downloadable card you can give with the magazine (scroll down to download). Print it out on card stock , trim and place in a standard 4 Bar envelope. Or tuck inside your Christmas card. Or tie it to the magazine with some twine. It's the perfect (and easiest) gift to give and receive.
