Our west coast nephew (my sister-in-law's son) turned one in December. He is such a sweet boy, and my husband and I were happy we could be there for his first birthday back in Seattle.
Here's a board book I made for his birthday (like this one). My husband helped me write the story and I illustrated and designed it. The story is about a day of fun spent with the people (and pug) who love Dylan.

Some more photos here.

this is way too cute...
This is precious!
Really love your designs, especially the gifts you guys make for family! Perfect illustrations of Dylan, Tyson, and all the family members!!
That is such a special present to give. Lovely idea.
Do you make it yourself or get it printed up?
Ah! This is such a cute idea! Again, your design is just lovely.
LOVE this. i think my favorite page is the one of abe's dad. :)
Absolutely amazing!
Yes, this book (and Erin) are truly nothing short of AMAZING! I still read it over and over all the time. We are so blessed by you and Abe! Miss you tons!
Love, Joanna (mom to the lucky recipient of the book!)
this is way too cute!
Can you be my aunt ;) Too cool!
You are so clever! You should set up a business and do these for people. You can have a questionnare that people fill in and some photos and then you create the story around that. Great!
absolutely love this idea. so much so that i just wrote about it on my own blog. i think it'd be neat to involve a big brother or sister in creating a book for a little sibling. might not look as terrific as yours, but would be fun!
and i love amber's idea, above, too!)
adorable.
How adorable! I love the illustrations plus the fact it's from Seattle! Go Hawks!
Oh man! This makes me cry it's so cute!! And I love how accurate your portrayals of everyone are! (the grandparents were killing me...nervous to see those ny aunt and uncles tho). :) It is really amazing Erin.
this is a super fabulous idea

This is such a neat book! He will treasure this forever.
I think this is the cutest thing I've ever seen. Ever.
what a wonderful idea! I have such fond memories of reading board books to children in stint as a church nursery supervisor. Now I want to make a board book of my own :)
