Baloo's board book

I have the cutest nephews. The youngest one (his nickname is Baloo) just turned 100 days old. I wanted to make a board book for him. So one evening my husband and I came up with some rhymes for the story (what rhymes with Baloo? Poo? Shoe? Two?) and I illustrated it. This is what our brainstorming looked like:


Here is the result of that evening of writing and illustrating -- my first board book. I've always wanted to illustrate children's books one day, so this was a really fun project.

It's very easy to make something like this yourself. You can buy blank board books online (I bought an 8x8" one on amazon.com). You can draw directly onto the pages. Or you can do what I did and design each page, print it on adhesive label paper, trim it to size and stick it onto the board book.
